ABOUT COOKIE QUEENS / PRESS / TRAILER / FILM STILLS / IMPACT PROGRAM
2026 Sundance Film Festival
It’s Girl Scout Cookie season, and four tenacious girls strive to become top-selling “Cookie Queens,” navigating an $800 million enterprise where childhood, ambition, and competition collide.
Meet Ara, Olive, Nikki, and Shannon Elizabeth: four Girl Scouts with compelling personalities and formidable drive. Their mission is cookie sales, but their entrepreneurial instincts point toward futures that stretch far beyond the cookie booth: future Supreme Court justices, CEOs, and leaders yet to be imagined.
The idea for Cookie Queens was conceived by Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw, who brought the project to filmmaker Alysa Nahmias to direct. Serving as producers, Dweck and Kershaw sought to explore the social shifts and pressures shaping the United States through an upbeat, entertaining, and deeply character-driven lens. As with all of their work, the film is grounded in intimate portraiture: these Girl Scouts emerge as dynamic, larger-than-life protagonists, defined by their spirit, resilience, and determination, inspiring not only for what they accomplish, but for who they are becoming.
